UNIC Pretoria hosts a special screening of the Smurfs Movie.

Pretoria – On Sunday the 26th March 2017, UNIC Pretoria in partnerships with UNICEF, Sony Pictures South Africa, Flow Communications and Ster Kinekor hosted a special screening on the Smurfs Movie called “The Lost Village” for learners and teachers of Kokosi Primary School in Johannesburg.

The Smurfs movie is part of the global “Small Smurfs Big Goals” campaign aimed at promoting the 17 Sustainable Development  of the UNIC Goals focusing on ending extreme poverty, protecting the planet and giving everyone the chance to enjoy peace and prosperity. One of the objectives of the Smurfs movie is to encourage children, young people and adults to make the world happier, more peaceful, equitable and healthy.

The learners were very excited after watching the Smurfs Movie and they gave comments highlighting some of the important aspects of the Sustainable Development Goals that the movie featured such as, health and well-being, peace and happiness, equal opportunities for both boys and girls.
