NEW YORK 18 September 2017 – The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Jacob Zuma, President of the Republic of South Africa. The Secretary-General thanked South Africa for its contribution to peace and security in Africa, including in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The Secretary-General and President Zuma also discussed regional efforts to support peace and dialogue in Burundi. They also exchanged views on the importance of multilateralism to advancing the international development and peace and security agendas.
